About The Position

In this role, you'll help customers find the right products by responding to inbound calls and inquiries while gradually expanding into outbound prospecting as you become more familiar with our products and customers. You'll guide customers from their initial inquiry through the close of the sale, answer questions, recommend the best solutions for their needs, and explain the value and benefits of our products. As you grow in the role, you'll also reach out to prospective customers to build new relationships and generate sales opportunities. Throughout every interaction, you'll deliver exceptional customer service and help ensure a positive customer experience. This role supports our American Tin Ceilings brand. The position is 100% remote and requires the employee to work from any location within the USA. The total estimated compensation within the first 12 months is $85,000 - $95,000, with an hourly rate of $26.50 - $31.00 and uncapped monthly sales commission. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours, primarily Monday-Friday, with availability for some evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of inside sales experience within Commercial Interiors and/or Building Materials industries.
  • Established sales skills and proven sales record.
  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to meet sales goals.
  • Ability and willingness to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficient computer, typing data entry skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Outbound prospecting experience is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

  • Influence sales by managing inbound customer inquiries.
  • Handle customer calls in a professional and personable manner.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries via telephone, email, and chat.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly quotas.
  • Gradually increase outbound prospecting activities as onboarding is completed and product knowledge is developed.
  • Proactively identify and engage prospective customers to generate new sales opportunities and build the pipeline.
  • Deliver precise and prompt estimates to customers with proactive follow up to secure the sale.
  • Monitor order status to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Navigate company specific system, NetSuite, to enter estimates, orders, and document sales inquiries.
  • Set up and maintain accurate records and notes in NetSuite.
  • Computer data entry for orders or sales.
  • Report trends related to sales questions, product specifications, and customer desires.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and tasks related to sales/product issues.
  • Collaborate with Resolutions, Operations, Accounting, and other departments in regard to timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Report website problems and inconsistencies.
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable on all assigned products.
  • Identify cost-effective benefits of various products.
  • Correspond with suppliers on product issues and needs.
