About The Position
Sterling Crane LLC, a leader in the heavy lift industry since 1954, is seeking a Sales Representative for the Houston area. Sterling Crane USA offers operated and bare crane rentals, sales, parts, and service, boasting one of the largest inventories of modern lifting equipment in North America. This role is crucial for driving sales and providing excellent customer service in a growing U.S.-based company with the stability of Marmon and Berkshire Hathaway.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Sales Training or relevant crane experience
- 1+ year crane sales experience required.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Established Accounts Preferred
- 3D Lift Plan experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring all employees understand and follow all required Sterling safety policies and procedures.
- Provides detailed site surveys/job walks to determine crane requirements.
- Provides timely quotations for clients based on site surveys and/or client requests, offering input to improve quality and value.
- Communicates all requirements as per job quotation and client needs to the Dispatcher, working closely to ensure successful job completion.
- Maintains exceptional customer relations through effective communication.
- Ensures customer issues or concerns receive prompt responses.
- Routinely seeks customer feedback and incorporates the data into strategies and action plans.
- Identifies and develops new opportunities.
- Strictly adheres to company administrative policies (Sales calls, quote follow-up, credit checks, etc.).
- Performs due diligence on client’s credit worthiness, ensuring payment is received within agreed upon terms and conditions.
- Shows continuous growth to the company's revenue line year-over-year.
- Other duties as assigned.
