About The Position

SARSTEDT is seeking a Sales Representative for Laboratory Automation to promote and sell cutting-edge lab automation equipment to a variety of customers. This role involves providing lab workflow and design solutions, creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations, generating quotations, nurturing existing customer relationships, and maintaining high retention rates. The representative will manage administrative tasks, coordinate travel, prioritize customer visits, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Safety and compliance with all procedures are paramount.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience in capital equipment sales or experience with mechanical/technical equipment preferred
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and service reporting systems)
  • Overnight travel is required (up to 75%+, including air travel)
  • Occasional international travel might be required for sales meetings or training
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 100 lbs. (occasionally)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various environments for extended periods
  • Ability to work safely around electrical systems and mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and selling SARSTEDT laboratory automation equipment onsite with customers
  • Providing lab workflow and design solutions to customers utilizing SARSTEDT laboratory automation
  • Creating and presenting PowerPoint slides to key stakeholders
  • Timely creation of quotations for new and existing customers
  • Nurturing existing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and explore future opportunities
  • Building strong customer relationships to maintain a high retention rate through new sales and service contracts
  • Managing administrative tasks and customer assignments
  • Coordinating travel and prioritizing customer visits based on opportunities
  • Communicating effectively, tailoring the approach to customers, teammates, and leadership
  • Following all safety procedures and ensuring compliance at all times
