About The Position

This role is for a high-energy and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with team members from all departments to ensure customer success. The ideal candidate will be strongly skilled in communications and follow-through. This position can be located in Jeffersonville, IN (preferred) or Shelbyville, KY.

Requirements

  • Experience with customer-facing roles in sales, customer service, production planning or similar.
  • Highly proficient in Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and ability to learn new software tools.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM (SalesForce preferred) and ERP or MRP systems (Global Shop Solutions or SAP preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence, prepare presentations and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining detailed and accurate documentation and meeting deadlines. Prioritizes appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with coworkers, customers and suppliers in order to solve problems. Build rapport and develop alliances; adjusts communication style to meet the needs at various levels within organization.
  • Strong conflict management skills. Remains professional in emotional situations and accepts responsibility for actions; follows through on commitments.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Able to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations; ability to interpret a variety of instructions and information.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist others involved in the project launch and selling process.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license (insurable with good driving record).
  • Standard work hours with occasional evening/weekend availability as assigned.
  • Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing environment, roll forming or metal forming experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred.
  • In lieu of degree: Associate’s degree and 2-4 years’ experience or HS Diploma and 4 or more years’ experience/training with selling or production planning/customer service in manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer account activities relating to developing customer relationships and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately process and manage customer orders and inquiries to insure timely delivery.
  • Manage customer pricing and maintain/improve gross profit for assigned customers.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts by reviewing customer demand.
  • Resolve issues negatively impacting the customer and effectively communicate with internal departments to improve response times to customers.
  • Manages and implements customer pricing.
  • Reviews customer pricing performance monthly and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Implements contractual price changes where applicable.
  • Investigates raw material inventory positions to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Analyzes customer requirements and material needs.
  • Process and coordinate customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Create internal work orders to establish known customer demand.
  • Communicate customer requirements and concerns into the planning process.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw material and finished goods within allowable inventory turn goals while maintaining ability to deliver to the customer on time, every time.
  • Maintain accurate customer and part records in our ERP database.
  • Prepare part and customer analysis reports as requested.
  • Investigates and resolves customer inquiries and coordinates RFC resources to resolve customer complaints.
  • Produces new quotations for existing customers.
  • Enters opportunities in Salesforce for estimates and material requests.
  • Provides customer forecasts for accurate financial view of each plant location.
  • Gathers information from internal and external sources to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Participates in customer meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews as required.
  • Maintains accurate customer records in Salesforce.
  • Ensures timely entry of Customer Health records, meeting notes, quality concerns, new business opportunities, and follow-up actions to support Sales Action Plans.
  • Participates in New Product Launch Meetings.
  • Validates customer requirements for initial launch and first production of new parts.
  • Works closely with Scheduling, Production and Quality Departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
