About The Position

At Meter, we are rebuilding networking from the ground up, encompassing hardware, software, and operations, to provide enterprises with networks that are fast, secure, reliable, and evolve without friction. To capture the legacy networking market, we are assembling an elite team of Sales, Channel, and Sales Engineering professionals. We are seeking a second Sales Recruiter to accelerate our go-to-market hiring efforts. This role is crucial as your work will directly shape Meter's revenue engine. You will elevate the team by identifying and securing exceptional sales talent that drives our business forward. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City.

Requirements

  • High bar for sales talent.
  • Ability to evaluate candidates who can sell a sophisticated, full-stack product.
  • Ability to evangelize Meter’s vision.
  • Ability to build trust with candidates to encourage them to join the team.
  • Relentlessly drive top-of-funnel for recruited roles, identifying and converting potential candidates through creative outreach and multiple media.
  • Understand the compounding return an exceptional hire has on a company’s trajectory.
  • Work tirelessly to ensure hiring decisions reflect this understanding.
  • Think of recruiting as a discipline as scientific as the sales team that you support.
  • Bring clarity and confidence to the hiring process, enabling hiring partners to make decisions with a high degree of conviction.
  • Act as an evangelist and steward of company culture.
  • Experience building recruiting processes that scale with fast-growing businesses (e.g., taking a startup from 20 to 200 people, or owning high-volume hiring at a growth company).
  • High sense of urgency and ability to live by the motto “Why not now?”.

Responsibilities

  • Design search strategies and map the market across sales, channel, and customer-facing roles.
  • Proactively source and engage high-caliber candidates through targeted outreach, referrals, and creative research.
  • Run a structured, clear hiring process that enables high-conviction decisions.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Leadership teams, facilitating debriefs, and advising on compensation, leveling, and closing strategies.
  • Personalize every step of the candidate experience to reflect Meter’s values and high standards.
  • Apply persistence and rigor: follow up one more time, seek a warm introduction, or tailor a message that unlocks the right conversation.
