About The Position

Sales Quality Manager is responsible for monitoring sales procedures of frontline sales staff to ensure compliance. The Sales Quality Manager will support the Sales Director who leads the team responsible for the overall efficiency of sales activities and customer satisfaction while helping to meet goals and standards that are already established for the team. This includes fostering a positive work environment; mentoring, coaching, and developing team members. This also includes working with Sales Managers and the individual account executives to ensure business continuity. A Sales Quality Manager may be expected to step into an account executive role temporarily when all other options have been exhausted to maintain business continuity & unmatched customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar field of study with emphasis in: International Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, Marketing or Sales preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role leading high performance teams
  • 3+ years’ working knowledge in logistics and transportation industry; including third-party full truckload logistics management, supply chain, tradeshow set-up, and final mile
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Visionary leader with the ability to use their knowledge, skills and influence to guide and inspire others to reach their potential and achieve individual, team and company goals and objectives
  • Strong team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and cultivate relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and complex environment while making timely decisions under pressure
  • Ability to train employees how to effectively present a full range of services to customers, empowering them to build a complete logistics and supply chain solutions
  • Ability to mentor, motivate and develop a team to build relationships and effectively present a full range of services to customers, empowering them to build a complete logistics and supply chain solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and inter-personal skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with people in all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing unmatched customer service
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently based on business needs (approximately 50-75% travel required)
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience in all modes: dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized loads, refrigerated, intermodal shipments
  • Previous freight management software experience; Cargowise One and McLeod a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Regional Sales Director in creating and driving a business plan strategy that successfully meets sales goals
  • Assist business & support units to establish appropriate internal policies to streamline sales process
  • Drive the company’s sales and operational training initiatives
  • Hold teams accountable to operational and process expectations of the organization
  • Complete weekly audits of the regions sales and operational processes
  • Fill in for Sales Managers and/or Account Executives throughout the Region as needed during vacations, sick time, leaves of absences and other planned or unforeseen events
  • Promote and instill a positive work environment that is challenging and engaging
