We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager who will be accountable for the development, implementation, and management of quality systems and procedures in product production. This role ensures that quality standards, as defined by designers, are met on the shop floor and with materials and services from outside vendors. The ideal candidate should have specialized experience in building or rebuilding a Quality Management System (QMS), not just maintaining one. They should also possess the capability to mentor and upskill the current team, standardize quality approaches, and transition the department to a proactive, data-driven model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management or a related role, in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience implementing a QMS

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to the quality department.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow up on all CRMs involving product issues and provide resolution recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Make decisions on product acceptance, including final disposition of products based on established criteria and standards.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Create and maintain cost of quality reporting, metrics, and action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain periodic inspection audits to ensure spot checking of production quality
  • Develop and maintain 3rd party inspection process
  • Develop and maintain the returns, reject re-distribution, and scrap procedures
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
