About The Position

A Sales Promotion Manager at Griffin Media helps drive the Ideal Team Player culture. The Sales Promotion Manager is responsible for developing and executing promotional campaigns to support the sales team and increase the visibility of advertising products and services. This role works closely with both the marketing, content and sales departments to create compelling promotions that drive revenue growth and enhance client relationships. The Sales Promotion Manager ensures that all promotional efforts align with the company’s overall marketing strategy while focusing on increasing sales opportunities and audience engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Related experience will be evaluated and may be substituted as years of education.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales promotions, marketing, or related roles, preferably in a broadcast or media environment.
  • Strong understanding of promotional strategies and sales-driven marketing.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with sales and marketing teams.
  • Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with digital and social media marketing platforms and techniques.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
  • Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales promotions by working seamlessly with other Griffin divisions, departments, and external vendors.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and understands the importance of meeting deadlines and benchmarks.
  • Develops and leads execution of station and company sales projects.
  • Effectively manage their own timelines and deadlines to meet overall company objectives and goals.
  • Develop and implement sales-driven promotional campaigns that support the company’s advertising products and services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify promotional opportunities and design campaigns that meet client and business objectives.
  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing to align sales promotions with the overall marketing strategy and brand positioning.
  • Plan and execute on-air, digital, and social media promotions that enhance client visibility and drive audience engagement.
  • Coordinate promotional activities, including contests, giveaways, sponsorships, and events, to generate excitement and increase brand awareness.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of sales promotions, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
  • Manage promotional materials, ensuring consistency in messaging, branding, and presentation across all platforms.
  • Assist the sales team in creating promotional presentations, sales collateral, and other marketing materials for client pitches and campaigns.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure the successful execution of promotional events and campaigns.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging promotional techniques to keep the company’s sales efforts innovative and competitive.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
