About The Position

Rooms To Go is hiring a full-time retail sales associate to help customers find furniture and create their home design vision. Associates use a consultative sales approach, build rapport through honest and attentive conversations, explain product benefits and financing options, and recommend complementary products. Rooms To Go provides paid training, sales tools, advertising, financing, and delivery support. Pay averages approximately $70,000–$100,000 per year, depending on commission and location.

Requirements

Be able and willing to use current electronic devices, such as tablets and touch screens.
Be able and willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training is available for the right candidate.
Experience working directly with customers, including in service roles such as serving, bartending, retail sales, real estate, or flight attending.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage customers.
Identify customers’ home-furnishing needs and help bring their design vision to life.
Generate sales through a consultative approach.
Build rapport with customers using strong interpersonal and listening skills, and earn their business through honest conversations.
Recommend additional products to complete a room.
Work as part of a team to achieve sales goals.
Explain financing and protection plans.
Demonstrate product value and explain benefits that meet customers’ needs.
