About The Position

D.J. Bitzan Jewelers Inc is hiring a full-time Sales Professional who can create an amazing experience that results in sales. This role is for someone who can listen, connect, guide, and make sales, rather than just show jewelry. The ideal candidate will make customers feel comfortable, help them move toward a decision, enjoys setting and achieving sales goals, is proactive in identifying and addressing needs, can handle busy periods with steady energy, and is reliable and takes pride in their work.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of consultative, customer-facing sales experience, selling products with clear features and benefits.
  • Strong communication skills (in person, phone, email, text).
  • Self-motivated, dependable, high-energy, and coachable.
  • Comfortable with sales goals and performance expectations.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Basic math skills; comfortable using POS and customer database systems.
  • Team-oriented: able to give and accept support.
  • Collaborative.
  • Positive energy for all.
  • Available to work favorable retail hours - Regular hours that we are open to serve customers are Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Sales staff have a scheduled weekday off. Extended hours during events and in December.

  • Retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred—but not required if you’re hungry to learn and you’re good with people.
  • Jewelry sales experience is not mandatory— we'll provide comprehensive training and ongoing learning opportunities!

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers quickly and warmly, then build genuine rapport.
  • Ask great questions, listen well, and guide customers to the right jewelry solution.
  • Recommend products and services naturally.
  • Consistently sell to meet or exceed individual and store goals.
  • Support engagement ring and bridal consultations, custom design conversations, and special orders.
  • Take in jewelry repairs and service requests with accuracy and urgency.
  • Create and update customer profiles, document sales, and manage follow-ups.
  • Process transactions (cash/check/credit), returns, and exchanges confidently through our POS system.
  • Help with opening/closing procedures and keeping the showroom clean and beautiful.
