About The Position

This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial relationships and loans. This includes coordinating with Credit Administration on the collection of financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, borrowing basis and annual servicing, as well as monitoring the financial condition of the assigned commercial loan portfolio. The role involves servicing client banking needs, processing loan renewals, line of credit draw requests, letter of credit renewals, and new loan requests from existing clients. It also includes monitoring and managing past due, borrowing base, covenant tracking, and maturity lists, and working with Lending Assistants and CLUs to ensure files are kept up to date with required financial information.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills characterized by excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Proficient with general office machines and programs to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to use the computer efficiently and learn new software programs.
  • Basic English language skills to write (including spelling and punctuation) and speak clearly and effectively.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Commercial Credit Analysis, Commercial Loan Underwriting, or other relevant bank experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Credit Administration for the collection of financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, borrowing basis, and annual servicing.
  • Monitor the financial condition of the assigned commercial loan portfolio.
  • Service client banking needs of all kinds.
  • Process loan renewals, line of credit draw requests, and letter of credit renewals.
  • Process new loan requests from existing clients.
  • Monitor and manage past due, borrowing base, covenant tracking, and maturity lists.
  • Work with Lending Assistants and CLUs to ensure files are kept up to date with required financial information.
  • Contact customers and their designees (CPA’s, etc.) for collection of required/needed information including financial statements.
  • Provide preliminary feedback to the CTL or AE on current customers regarding creditworthiness and loan renewal merits.
  • Partner with Commercial Lenders and CLUs in the completion of commercial loan relationship renewals.
  • Monitor the Maturing Loans Report, collect financial statements, complete the credit memo, and drive the approval process.
  • Ensure that all collateral and financial exceptions are monitored, collected, and ticklers cleared in a timely manner.
  • Work with Credit Administration to ensure annual reviews and renewal packages have all needed documents and answered questions.
  • Work closely with Credit Administration and Loan Review on monitoring and reporting of Classified Loans.
  • Assist Loan Review when requested by Credit Administration.
  • Assist the CTL or AE with projects and normal workflow, including initiating workflow into credit origination software.
  • Periodically accompany a Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM), CTL or AE on calls with existing and/or prospective clients.
  • Periodically attend loan closings with CRM, CTL or AE, as needed.
  • Undertake special projects related to job function.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist other employees through healthy and positive interactions.
  • Assist with marketing endeavors/efforts, when requested.
  • Continuously update skills by participating in professional training.
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training.
  • Perform all other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management.
