About The Position

The Sales Porter is responsible for performing duties related to vehicle sales and upkeep of dealership property. Responsibilities include maintaining the vehicle lot, moving vehicles according to sales managers’ directions and dealership display standards, transporting customers and personnel, and assisting with customer deliveries. The role also ensures vehicles are clean and in good repair, places window stickers on newly arrived vehicles, transports vehicles between storage locations and dealerships, assists with weather-related cleanup, and performs building and grounds maintenance as needed. Other functions and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly; move vehicles as directed by sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot.
• Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other functions and special projects as assigned.
