About The Position

Amazon Services (AWS) is seeking a dedicated planning analyst to join the Emerging Planning Solutions Team. This team ensures that Field and Commercial Operations teams have world-class data and analytics tools to scale with the rapidly expanding business. As an experienced technical user of specialized planning applications and AWS tools, you will develop modules to replace manual, email and spreadsheet-based processes for operations use cases. You will partner closely with business and operations leaders, and field users, applying your deep technical knowledge of planning and workflow automation solutions. You will also collaborate with the Product team to translate requirements into workplans, prioritize requests, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, drive adoption, and ensure the development of proper infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess analytical skills to critically evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, and abstract general understanding from detailed or high-level information.

Requirements

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Nice To Haves

• Experience with distributed systems at scale

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the business and identify/quantify levers that impact the business.
• Maintain existing Anaplan models and/or 1P solutions, and ensure that the data is accurate, complete, and available in a timely manner.
• Identify feature gaps or planning process inefficiencies within the sales organization and translate those needs into model enhancements or new Anaplan model implementations.
• Develop back-end and front-end features in Anaplan and/or 1P tools following best practices.
• Understand existing databases and warehouse structures to determine how to consolidate, aggregate, and utilize data efficiently and scalably.
• Work with the data engineering team to ensure optimal ingestion and egress patterns are implemented.
• Audit model calculations and provide support to end users.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation for end users.
