About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a positive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position works under general supervision and uses established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor-merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
