About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting and Archery merchandise. The role assists customers with floor merchandise by greeting them promptly and courteously, handling products with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position supports a high standard of customer service and works to create a pleasant and productive shopping experience. The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions, demonstrates products, maintains merchandise and displays, replenishes shelves, stays current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeps the work area clean and stocked. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Customer service and sales knowledge related to non-firearms Hunting and Archery merchandise.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and, occasionally, lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and help ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting and Archery merchandise in the retail store and at the sales counter.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
