About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise, as well as sales and customer service for floor merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position includes learning product information, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, and helping customers make purchasing decisions. The Sales Outfitter works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to resolve problems and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of customer service and sales for non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and recommend products based on that analysis.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise in the retail store and at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
