This role will focus on improving customer communications and sales processes, ensuring accuracy in order entry and updates, providing order status, maintaining CRM records, processing high-volume EDI orders, supporting account management, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office and CRM software
  • Excellent telephone sales and service skills
  • Highly organized and efficient and excellent time management skills
  • Energetic with a self-starter mentality
  • High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from a 2 or 4-year accredited university preferred
  • Inside sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Increase quality of customer communications by coordinating and making operational improvements to sales processes.
  • Enter and update customer orders with a focus on accuracy and eliminating rework by applying analysis and process improvements to the ordering system.
  • Provide order status updates and audit customer shipping information.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM with error-proofing practices to reduce defects in reporting or follow-up.
  • Process high-volume EDI orders across multiple platforms while ensuring adherence to standardized operating procedures that promote process stability and partner adherence.
  • Support account management and sales teams by providing administrative coordination and support for value-added activities.
  • Monitor the full order lifecycle with a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying root causes of delays or discrepancies.
  • Participate in the process improvement initiatives (e.g., root-cause analysis, standard work development, ISO 9001 quality initiatives) to increase order accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
