About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Sales Operations Specialist to join our team, focusing on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base through exceptional support, engagement and customer intimacy. As a Sales Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Job functions & Responsibilities: Build and maintain positive customer relationships supporting the Account Management and/Sales team Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional support Triage and route a high volume of customer inquiries to the appropriate individuals or teams for follow up Leverage CRM to create opportunities and generate accurate, timely quotes in support of sales activities Ensure data integrity by consistently maintaining and updating customer records within CRM Assist in the preparation of sales reports, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses using CRM and other reporting tools Collaborate cross-functionally with Contracts, Order Management, and Finance departments to support customer order fulfillment Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, pricing, promotions, and internal procedures Support sales/marketing collateral and loaner provision process, as required. Proactively identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and champion the adoption of AI tools to enhance sales operations efficiency Demonstrate professionalism and build trust by consistently representing the company with integrity, maintaining confidentiality, honoring commitments, and fostering credible, respectful relationships with both internal teams and external customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • CRM proficiency - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable CRM platform is required
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette and accurate data entry
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction while contributing effectively to shared team goals
  • Committed to delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and external customers
  • Demonstrates perseverance and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working both autonomously and within a team, coordinating multiple activities at once
