About The Position

This role is responsible for the end-to-end strategy and execution of global sales compensation programs, including automation, implementation, and optimization across AWS's GSC Operations. The position involves developing and implementing scalable solutions for compensation administration, reporting, and analytics for global teams, managing complex program implementations with various stakeholder groups (Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, Tech), and designing and executing change management strategies for new compensation plans and operational processes. The role also requires creating and maintaining program governance frameworks, leading process improvement initiatives to optimize compensation operations, and developing automation solutions to streamline processes and reporting. Building comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions to track key compensation metrics and program effectiveness, driving data-informed decisions through advanced analytics, and developing performance metrics frameworks are also key responsibilities. The role involves partnering with VP-level stakeholders to align compensation strategy with business objectives, developing risk management frameworks, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system updates, and creating documentation for compensation policies and procedures. Continuous improvement through process optimization and automation, as well as creating scalable training and enablement programs, are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience.
  • Three years of experience in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Three years of experience with project management and process improvement.
  • Three years of experience in owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of global sales compensation programs, including automation, implementation, and optimization across AWS's GSC Operations.

  • Manage complex program implementations across multiple stakeholder groups including Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, and Tech teams.

  • Create and maintain program governance frameworks ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize compensation operations, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline compensation processes and reporting.
  • Build comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions to track key compensation metrics and program effectiveness.
  • Drive data-informed decisions through advanced analytics and modeling of compensation scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics frameworks to measure program success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead analytical deep-dives to provide strategic insights on compensation program performance and business impact.
  • Partner with VP-level stakeholders to align compensation strategy with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain risk management frameworks for compensation programs.
