About The Position

The Sales Operations Business Analyst acts as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and Salesforce solutions, ensuring the platform supports organizational objectives and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for eliciting and analyzing business requirements, optimizing Salesforce processes, and partnering cross-functionally to enhance system functionality and user adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3--5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years as a CRM or Salesforce Business Analyst.
  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Sales Cloud, including strong knowledge of Salesforce Reports and Dashboards
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with working knowledge of tools such as JIRA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of sales-related business processes and CRM best practices
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the interpersonal ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Proficiency in documenting workflows and creating process diagrams.

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Salesforce subject matter expert guiding teams on the design, development and maintenance of Salesforce reports, dashboards, and executive analytics supporting pipeline, forecasting, performance, deal progression, and sales productivity.
  • Administers report and dashboard folder structures and access, ensuring appropriate visibility and governance.
  • Acts as the primary escalation point for Salesforce related issues, providing ongoing support to sales teams through troubleshooting and user guidance.
  • Develops and maintains a user persona matrix defining role hierarchies, access controls, and responsibility assignments.
  • Partners with IT to manage the Salesforce user lifecycle and system access, including onboarding, offboarding, access modifications, role-based permissions, and ongoing monitoring to ensure data integrity, compliance, and appropriate user activity.
  • Contributes to the Salesforce product roadmap by researching, analyzing, and supporting the implementation of solutions that enable sales effectiveness and revenue growth.
  • Identifies sales process gaps, inefficiencies, and data quality issues, recommending scalable, operations led improvements to enhance system effectiveness.
  • Evaluates Salesforce triannual releases to assess feature impact and opportunities for the Sales organization.
  • Translates sales business needs and stakeholder requests into clear user stories, use cases, and functional requirements, bridging technical and business audiences.
  • Partners with IT and cross-functional stakeholders on enhancements, integrations, and internal releases to ensure alignment with go-to-market and revenue objectives.
  • Conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-release validation of new and updated Salesforce functionality to support BAU changes and enhancements.
  • Monitors, audits, and reports on Salesforce data quality, proactively identifying issues and recommending improvements to data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Executes data imports and maintenance activities to support Sales business operations.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids to ensure standardized, well-documented processes.
  • Coordinates training sandbox release management, including testing and deployments in collaboration with Sales Operations Systems, IT, and Training teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
