  • Proven ability to manage both new business acquisition and account retention.
  • Working knowledge of CRM-based pipeline management.
  • Sufficient technical credibility to discuss stainless steel grades, finishes, and fabrication applications.
  • Strong commercial judgment: pricing discipline, deal qualification, and forecast ownership.
  • Strategic understanding of digital lead generation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Field-oriented and comfortable with substantial travel (40–60% in the field).
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly across Kenya.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling stainless steel, metal products, or fabrication services is a strong advantage.
  • Existing relationships within Kenya's industrial, construction, hospitality, dairy, or food-processing sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Kiswahili is a practical advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Kenya across both Trading and Manufacturing divisions.
  • Lead, coach, and performance-manage the Kenya sales team across branches and territories.
  • Drive a structured sales process: prospecting → qualification → site visit → proposal → negotiation → close → retention.
  • Conduct regular branch visits, joint client calls, and weekly pipeline reviews.
  • Develop growth plans for key sectors: dairy, food processing, hospitality, construction, pharmaceutical, and industrial fabrication.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across both stock-driven trading sales and project-based fabrication sales.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and commercial visibility through disciplined CRM use.
  • Own strategic relationships with major accounts and high-potential industrial prospects.
  • Segment accounts by value, growth potential, and churn risk, and manage accordingly.
  • Build and maintain a top-account retention plan with clear call cadence and follow-up ownership.
  • Reactivate dormant accounts through structured win-back campaigns.
  • Track churn causes and propose corrective action.
  • Grow fabrication and project business, including tanks, custom stainless fabrication, and architectural work.
  • Lead first-round technical-commercial discovery with clients before handover to engineering or production.
  • Engage credibly on stainless steel grades, finishes, and application fit.
  • Support the sales team in qualifying opportunities as stock sales, fabricated solutions, or hybrid offers.
  • Define digital marketing strategy across Meta Ads, WhatsApp Business, Google Ads, SEO, and LinkedIn.
  • Set channel objectives by division and monthly KPIs: lead volume, cost per lead, conversion, and ROAS.
  • Review campaign performance weekly and redirect spend based on results.
  • Ensure all digital leads are routed quickly, tracked in CRM, and followed through to close.
  • Line-manage the Digital Marketing team.
  • Enforce weekly CRM updates, pipeline hygiene, and opportunity-stage consistency.
  • Chair a weekly commercial review: pipeline, forecast, branch performance, and churn risk.
  • Submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports to the COO.
  • Use CRM data to identify under performance, pipeline gaps, and coaching needs.
  • Work closely with Branch Managers, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Manufacturing.
  • Escalate issues affecting conversion, fulfillment, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with finance on customer credit issues and collections risk.
