About The Position

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a Boston-based Sales & Marketing Manager who is passionate about hospitality, enthusiastic, energetic, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, understand luxury hospitality, and be a willing ambassador for the White Elephant Resorts brand. This role requires flexibility to travel to Nantucket, Palm Beach, Aspen, and key local markets, and willingness to work in the office and/or on-site at the hotels. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • Solid selling and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal and team goals.
  • Proven track record in pursuing, evaluating, soliciting, selling, and confirming business to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of the group market.
  • 3 years’ previous experience in a similar sales and/or marketing management role.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in overseeing marketing, PR, or administrative sales support functions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects and sells the collection of luxury resorts, hotels, and inns to all markets, including corporate and social.
  • Oversees the marketing and administrative functions that support the sales effort.
  • Identifies and targets new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and other potential clients.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Collaborates with the sales team to create compelling sales presentations and set goals for group room rates, room rental, and food and beverage minimums.
  • Analyzes rate setting and negotiates contracts with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Attends industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand and expand the client base.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepares regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Oversees administrative and marketing activities related to the group/catering sales effort, ensuring accurate, up-to-date client and booking information.
  • Manages and updates content across the brand's websites and digital channels.
  • Supports public relations efforts, including coordinating press stays, reservations, dining, and activities for media and VIP guests.
  • Partners with other departments (front office, food & beverage, guest services) to coordinate VIP amenities, special requests, and service needs.
  • Oversees data collection, database management, and monthly departmental reporting.
