About The Position

La Crosse Milling Company is a trusted leader in premium oat and grain ingredients. They are seeking an energetic, results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead growth initiatives, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand their market presence. This remote-based position offers home-office flexibility with regular travel to customers, trade shows, and occasional visits to headquarters. The role involves balancing new business acquisition with nurturing long-standing partnerships, providing ingredient solutions to major food industry names.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably in food ingredients, milling, or other agricultural processing.
  • Experience with commodity-based pricing models and the ability to navigate market volatility to protect company margins while providing customer stability.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30–40% for client visits, trade shows, and occasional trips to our headquarters in Cochrane, WI.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex contract negotiations and marketing budgets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and self-management skills.
  • The discipline to manage a remote schedule and hit targets without daily handholding.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Agribusiness, Marketing or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and land new accounts to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, collaborating closely with our Cochrane-based Customer Service team to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Work closely with the Cochrane-based team on contract pricing management, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the B2B Oat Ingredients Market.
  • Lead marketing budget, collaborating with the Cochrane-based team on website design and advertising campaigns and selection and management of industry trade shows.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to inform our sales approach.
