About The Position

NBCUniversal is a leading media and entertainment company. This internship offers students real-world experience in the television industry, specifically within the Sales Marketing team at NBC & Telemundo Connecticut. Interns will support the development of multiplatform campaigns and strategies aimed at driving advertising revenue. The program is paid, does not require course credit, and offers a minimum wage pay rate. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects and develop their skills in a company that values its employees, communities, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and development of sales marketing materials including custom sales presentations, campaign recaps, performance highlights, and one sheets.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the sales team to develop creative solutions for advertisers.
  • Assist in sourcing leads for the sales team that could lead to the development of new business revenue by staying informed on current events, market trends, emerging business categories, and competitive efforts to identify innovative revenue streams.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to track and execute marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments responsible for deliverables, including production for commercial and lifestyle production, creative services for graphics, and the digital team for online campaigns.
  • Assist in coordinating commercial production and lifestyle show workflows, which involves gathering elements from sales reps, scheduling projects, overseeing edits, and attending shoots.
  • Help with the execution and build of social media contesting and promotion, including submitting requests for rules & regulations, production requests for creative, reconciling winners, and recapping campaign success.
  • Coordinate marketing, event, and community activities by tracking event dates, identifying necessary resources (marketing collateral, promotional giveaways, news coverage, volunteers), distributing tickets, ordering supplies, and assisting in on-site execution.
  • Provide various administrative support on daily tasks.
