About The Position
WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic SALES & MARKETING INTERN who wants to make a difference for clients trying to grow their business through advertising with a top local TV station, along with our website and social media platforms. This is a PAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Summer semester 2026 only. The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other. Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Requirements
- Completed courses in a digital Sales or Marketing-related curriculum
- Working knowledge of WordPress and social media platforms
- Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program
- Required to show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program
Nice To Haves
- Some experience analyzing algorithms
- Developing social media marketing plans
- Crafting images and videos for social media platforms
Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team in creation of sales one-sheets
- Assist in planning of special sales projects
- Perform ratings research
- Assist staff in prep for sales calls
- Work with clients on social media strategy
- Creating Facebook and IG posts as directed
