The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, soliciting, and securing group business within all market segments to maximize revenue and occupancy for the hotel. This role requires a proactive sales approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the surrounding market, exceptional negotiation skills, and experience in hotel sales management. Hilton Garden Inn Camden Waterfront Philadelphia has 180 guest rooms located on the beautiful Camden Waterfront with exceptional views of the Philadelphia skyline and Ben Franklin Bridge. Requirements

  • 2 or more years Group Sales experience with a strong network and proven track record
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to understand and apply yield and revenue techniques
  • Strong leadership skills; a natural motivator
  • Strong management reporting skills
  • Strong Communication Skills (written, verbal and formal presentation style)

  • Ability to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Familiar with operations and standard of the Hotel’s relevant computer systems for Delphi and Hilton systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing all business development processes to achieve lead generation.
  • Accountable for proactively soliciting potential new accounts or lead opportunities by leveraging business intelligence using internal and external resources.
  • Build and maintain rapport with customers throughout the sales process, effectively present hotel benefits and features based on customer needs.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline, and conversion rates using CRM software.
  • Identify feeder markets for all segments of the business with integrated action plans.
  • Meet solicitation and maintenance call requirements; make outside sales calls, handle all incoming inquiries.
  • Anticipate and respond to all customer needs within a timely manner.
  • Meet sales and banquet booking goals to achieve budget and crossover.
  • Develop and implement sales activities within market segment to achieve budgeted goal.
  • Present proposals to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs.
  • Follow-up on assigned sales leads in a timely manner.
  • Participate in business review meetings, special events, sales blitzes, and sales meetings.
  • Maintain good relations with counterparts at competing hotels.
  • Complete all assigned paperwork within a timely manner.
  • Plan and prepare appointments for sales trips and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or manager.
