About The Position

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit a Sales Manager to join their team. Our client is a well-established industrial distribution organization that partners with customers to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. With a strong reputation and decades of industry experience, they take a consultative approach to helping customers optimize their supply chain and operations. This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of Account Managers while driving revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships. The Sales Manager plays a key leadership role in executing sales strategy, managing performance, and engaging directly with key customers to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related industries
  • 2+ years of sales leadership or supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy and contract negotiation
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling industrial products such as MRO, machining, or safety products preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers to achieve individual and team sales goals
  • Establish and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives and customer needs
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecasts; provide regular updates to leadership
  • Support pricing strategies, margin management, and cost savings initiatives
  • Participate in key customer meetings, negotiations, and business reviews
  • Support strategic account planning and relationship development
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and product offerings
  • Partner closely with internal operations teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Drive adoption of CRM tools and adherence to sales processes
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and training of sales team members
  • Model and reinforce company values and culture
  • Perform other duties as needed to support team and organizational goals
