About The Position

Jerry Seiner Honda is seeking a driven Sales Manager to join our leadership team. You will support the General Sales Manager in overseeing daily operations, coaching the sales team, and achieving department goals. This role focuses on building a high-performing sales team, driving profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years automotive sales experience
  • Ability to obtain California Sales License
  • Clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or degree is a plus
  • Management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a team of 8+ sales associates
  • Conduct weekly training sessions and one-on-one coaching to develop team performance
  • Set and achieve sales and gross profit targets (minimum 10 units per salesperson)
  • Lead daily save-a-deal and sales meetings; desk and close deals as needed
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvement plans for underperformers
  • Maintain strong Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Honda Above Region scores
  • Collaborate with F&I and Used Vehicle departments to maximize profit and performance
  • Assist with inventory management, advertising, and promotional planning
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, California labor laws, and applicable regulations
