About The Position

CGB Enterprises, Inc., founded in 1969, is a leader in the grain and transportation industries, operating over 100 locations with nearly 2,000 employees. This role is responsible for customer operations and business development within a team environment. Key duties include daily customer communication, issue resolution, and facilitating efficient coordination of daily and weekly operations.

Requirements

Sales or transportation experience required.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Understanding of the US markets and seasonality.
Understanding of terms and definitions of the transportation industry.

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Researching prospects and entering all data into the CRM.
Sourcing qualified clients.
Understanding and executing pricing methodology for all transportation modes.
Quoting freight independently and quickly.
Communicating effectively across all groups.
Developing working relationships with the business development group to transition enterprise accounts.
Submitting annual budgets for new sales and accounts.
Conducting annual business reviews for top clients.
Traveling when needed to meet with clients and prospects (less than 10% of time).
Developing strategic relationships with all mid-level decision makers.
Reviewing bids prior to submitting.
Developing relationships with C-level decision makers.
Professionally representing the organization to prospects, customers, carriers, and customer partners daily.
