About The Position

The Sales Manager position at Indigo Sky Casino is a full-time role responsible for driving sales through telephone solicitation, site inspections, and building strong client relationships. The role requires providing excellent customer service, staying current with industry trends, and creating customized event packages to meet client needs and revenue targets. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining client files, submitting booking reports, and promoting a high-quality company image.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelors degree in hospitality management, business, marketing or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in catering/banquet sales or event planning in the hospitality industry.
  • Above average oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Problem-solving capability.
  • High capacity for learning.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
  • Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma Able Liquor License.
  • Ability to maneuver in the casino and routinely lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally as much as 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours and maneuver in or outside the casino.
  • Visual acuity to observe and react to handle internal and external customer complaints or questions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head.
  • Good dexterity in fingers.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed weekly sales goals for telephone solicitation and site inspections.
  • Provide excellent, consistent, personal services to clients before, during, and after each event.
  • Personally greet on-site contacts to ensure all needs and last-minute requirements are met.
  • Stay current with market-related publications to stay on top of industry trends and uncover potential leads.
  • Submit weekly and monthly booking reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all files with current trace dates, accurate histories, and all relevant information regarding booking activity.
  • Promote a high-quality company image by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, and corporate clients to drive repeat business.
  • Create customized catering and event packages to meet client needs and ensure revenue targets are met.
