About The Position

As the Sales Manager, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive brand awareness, increase revenue, and enhance the overall guest experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in hospitality marketing, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to work with our dynamic marketing team. As Sales Manager, you’ll help keep Showboat buzzing by driving room, meeting space, and service sales across corporate, group, and leisure segments—boosting occupancy and revenue along the way.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven success meeting/exceeding targets
  • Experience with hotel sales systems/CRMs (e.g., Opera, Salesforce) and revenue principles
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong organization and time management

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute sales plans to hit revenue and occupancy goals
  • Prospect, pitch, and win new accounts; nurture repeat business with existing clients
  • Lead client presentations and site tours that sell the experience
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with confidence
  • Partner with marketing, revenue management, and operations to align strategy
  • Prepare forecasts, reports, and market/competitor insights; keep CRM notes accurate
