About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through various sales channels. This role involves maintaining excellent customer service, collaborating with other hotel departments, and representing the hotel at industry events. The position requires a proactive sales approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs. Employees must comply with all hotel rules and regulations for safe and effective operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of hospitality sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals.
  • Experience at a similar size and quality hotel.
  • Proactive sales approach; assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeed.
  • Track record of developing long term relationships.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various cultural social events including, but not limited to weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and fraternal organization meetings.
  • Dependable.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of DELPHI.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
  • Must be aware of the importance of safety and security.
  • Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.
  • Friendly and courteous to guests and fellow team members at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
  • Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other catering sales related meetings as required.
  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
  • Attend community/social events and industry meetings.
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
  • Professionally represent the hotel at all industry/community functions.
  • Participate as a team player with all departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
  • Lead the HAFH Experience.
