About The Position

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sales Manager Downstream / Midstream Fuel Additives to represent the company with executive-level management of midstream, refining, and trading organizations across multiple regions. This role is responsible for progressing strategic sales initiatives and fostering growth with key partners in the fuel additives market. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building strategic customer relationships, driving sales growth, and delivering commercial excellence across the refining, midstream, and downstream chemicals markets. This position requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment, can influence executive stakeholders, develop winning sales strategies, and expand market opportunities with key customers across multiple regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in refining, midstream chemical sales
  • Proven track record of delivering top and bottom-line growth
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions
  • Comprehensive understanding of company products/applications and services
  • 50% business travel required
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment
  • Valid work authorization in the country of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Sciences or Engineering field
  • 15+ years’ experience in refining, midstream chemical sales
  • 5+ years of corporate sales experience at the C-suite level
  • Commercial negotiations experience with large corporate contracts in the downstream or midstream markets

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategic and tactical sales plans that are aligned with customer’s business plan to deliver growth in targeted area
  • Ensuring sales campaigns and strategies are consistent with the overall objectives for the company
  • Proactively identifying and engaging new potential strategic customers
  • Building relationships with key customers at both corporate and regional offices
  • Performing standard portfolio management practices to understand customer
  • Applying or leading the application of innovative ideas and technologies to create a business or organizational advantage
  • Managing customer contracts to maximize profitability while monitoring and evaluating programs and expenditures
