Based in Montgomery, Alabama, United States, this is a full-time position ideal for a professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record in sales leadership. As a specialist in open-source systems and Linux-based infrastructure, we help organisations to build secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving our growth by expanding our client base and promoting our enterprise IT services.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar senior sales role, preferably within the IT services or technology sector.
  • A demonstrable history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business sense and a deep understanding of the sales process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing and directing a sales team is highly desirable.
  • A technical background or a strong understanding of Linux, open-source technologies, and enterprise IT infrastructure would be a significant advantage.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and building a robust sales pipeline.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our specialised Linux and open-source solutions through proposals and presentations.
  • Prepare and present accurate sales reports and forecasts to the senior management team.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our technical consulting teams to ensure the solutions proposed are aligned with client requirements.
