About The Position

Wavetronix, the global leader in radar-based vehicle detection technologies, is seeking a full-time Sales Manager for the Upper Midwest Territory. This role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing relationships with industry contacts, and growing revenue through direct sales to customers throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have prior technical sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel extensively throughout the territory. Although traffic industry experience is preferred, talented sales professionals with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply. This position has been strategically aligned with Wavetronix's long-term vision for the region. Team members are expected to live within the Upper Midwest region (allowing for regular onsite collaboration when not supporting customers in the field). While the team currently operates remotely throughout the territory, Wavetronix plans to establish a permanent office location in the region within the next few years.

Requirements

  • Prior technical sales experience

  • Attend customer meetings alongside experienced sales team members
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations
  • Attend trade shows and professional industry meetings
  • Establish trusted customer relationships throughout the region
  • Learn customer business needs and recommend effective Wavetronix solutions
  • Successfully integrate with the regional team and contribute to shared goals
  • Generate sales that meet or exceed annual targets
  • Provide timely product, technical, pricing, and delivery information
  • Develop a working knowledge of competitors, products, pricing, and sales strategies
  • Participate in Wavetronix continuing education and development programs
  • Manager and expand the customer base throughout the region
  • Identify market opportunities and regional requirements needed to support growth
  • Prepare and execute sales plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Meet or exceed regional sales objectives
  • Drive alignment with company initiatives and contribute to long-term regional growth

  • Negotiate agreements within company profitability guidelines
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and warranty claims
  • Build credibility with customers through professional communication and follow-through
  • Prepare sales forecasts and regional growth plans
  • Track opportunities and manage territory activities effectively
  • Identify regional requirements necessary to meet customer needs and grow the marketplace
