About The Position

Advantage Design Group, the nation’s largest provider of online orientations, is expanding from Higher Ed to the Private Sector and is seeking a Sales Manager to build, manage, and scale this new division. The company provides online orientations to millions of students, families, and new hires at over 400 Higher Ed Institutions. The Private Sector Division will leverage first-class marketing, monthly webinars, and trade shows to generate warm leads for the sales force. The Sales Manager will have limitless earning potential through a base salary, a percentage of their sales team's closed deals, and annual bonuses. The role involves managing a sales team equipped with Zoom Info and Microsoft Dynamics, focusing on high energy, tech-savviness, and accelerating deal closures. The Sales Manager will report directly to the CEO and be part of the management team, participating in planning and strategy meetings. This position offers significant growth potential in a market with few competitors.

Requirements

  • Six years of cold calling, hunting, and closing sales experience.
  • Strong approach to coaching a team.
  • Ability to monitor leads generated.
  • Ability to help the team close business and accelerate.
  • Quick learner and fast worker.
  • Enthusiasm, good work ethic, honesty, and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to close large ticket item accounts.
  • College Degree.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office experience – Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and scale the new Private Sector Sales Division.
  • Coach the sales team on qualifying leads, identifying decision-makers, and generating demo appointments.
  • Monitor leads to ensure they are being worked effectively.
  • Help the sales team close business and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Manage a sales team that is free to hunt for new opportunities, without being bogged down by account management, RFPs, or other non-sales activities.
  • Hire two additional Sales Representatives in 2026 and up to four more in 2027.
  • Participate in management planning and strategy meetings.
  • Join the sales team at all-expense-paid trade shows throughout the US and Canada.
