About The Position

Central Stone, a company with over 130 years of experience in producing construction aggregate products, is seeking an experienced Aggregate Sales Manager for their St. Louis Region. This is a full-time, exempt position based out of their Fenton, MO Regional Office, typically working a Monday through Friday schedule. The role oversees regional sales and marketing activities for over 11 quarry locations in the greater St. Louis area, including supervising a team of salespeople to achieve SMART goals. The position reports to the General Manager of St. Louis Operations and requires regular communication regarding ongoing jobs and market updates. Candidates must be willing to travel daily throughout the region using a company-provided vehicle, as the role is based in the Hannibal, MO office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales related position
  • Familiarity with Financial Reporting with an ability to think in numbers
  • Ability to make, meet, and exceed SMART Sales Goals
  • Skilled in Negotiations and Selling to Customer Needs
  • Sales Planning experience and proper motivation for sales activity
  • Ability to build and develop effective relationships
  • Ability to develop, lead, and motivate a high performance sales team, including providing hands-on training and development, managing performance issues and providing daily direction and supervision
  • Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and can work well in a team environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with JWS / APEX software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Support sales reps with day-to-day sales responsibilities
  • Evaluate overall regional and individual performance
  • Report on regional sales results on an on-going basis
  • Forecast monthly and annual sales volume and revenue
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
  • Manage large customers and ensure they are receiving high quality service
  • Daily regional travel with use of company vehicle
