About The Position

Modash is seeking a Sales Manager to lead their North American sales team. The current Sales leader is managing an out-of-hand headcount and needs to scale the team effectively to meet a projected 70% growth in 2027. This role is crucial for providing the necessary coaching, deal support, and performance management that the North American Account Executives (AEs) require. The Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering a significant portion of the company's sales revenue, as the North American team is the largest. The role involves day-to-day people management, pipeline reviews, CRM hygiene enforcement, performance tracking, and supporting hiring efforts. The manager will report to the Head of Sales and will have 6 direct reports in the Toronto area. Collaboration with AE Onboarding & Enablement, Sales Ops, Marketing, and Success leads is expected to ensure a smooth customer journey.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing account executives (teams of 5-10+).
  • Proper coaching ability to diagnose and change behavior.
  • Experience running full Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or handling difficult performance conversations.
  • Strong consultative sales skills to assist in live sales conversations.
  • Comfortable building momentum in a remote environment.
  • Ability to be trusted to hold high expectations for the team.
  • B2B SaaS background.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day people management of the North American Account Executive team.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and develop individual growth plans for direct reports.
  • Review deals and call recordings, providing direct and specific feedback.
  • Track each representative's attainment and intervene early when performance lags.
  • Run performance improvement plans, including conducting difficult conversations.
  • Conduct pipeline reviews.
  • Enforce CRM hygiene, sales process, and methodology.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reporting on attainment, risks, and necessary changes.
  • Assist representatives in unblocking key opportunities, including joining deal reviews and approving non-standard pricing or quotes.
  • Escalate issues related to compensation, tooling, enablement, or resources.
  • Support hiring by sourcing, interviewing, and assessing candidates.
  • Collaborate with AE Onboarding & Enablement, Sales Ops, Marketing, and Success leads.
