About The Position

We are looking for an experienced sales leader to energize and drive our Financial Services Consultants in the Client Solutions Centre. As Sales Manager, Client Solutions Centre, you will lead a team of Financial Services Consultants responsible to support and advise clients on financial decisions while helping them achieve their financial goals. As manager, you will be tasked with recruiting and developing talent and managing team performance through observational coaching to foster a high performing team to achieve service & sales targets. You will instill a client centric culture, that will empower your team to carry out our Client Experience vision: to demonstrate CARE, inspire CONFIDENCE and make it EASY for clients to do business with Sun Life. You will ensure the delivery of amazing client experiences for new clients as well improve loyalty and retention of existing clients. This role is hybrid with 1-2 days per week onsite at 1 York Street.

Requirements

  • Experienced sales leader with a proven track record of driving results and superior client experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service, along with strong practice management, effective coaching and performance management skills.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft applications.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of investments, wealth and insurance products, and financial markets.
  • Coaching and performance management skills
  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a frequently in a changing environment
  • Ability to manage relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Group Retirement Services' and Group Benefits’ products, processes, legislation, and tax requirements
  • Post secondary education or relevant job experience

  • Call Centre experience (Siebel)
  • Financial Services designations: CSC, PFP, CFP, IFIC, LLQP

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to Financial Services Consultants to support video and phone client interactions to ensure excellence in client interactions and drive business outcomes.
  • Lead 12 licensed consultants, responsible for sales results, closely tracking team performance metrics and conducting 1:1 coaching daily to optimize results as the core function.
  • Support a client-focused culture emphasizing growth, retention, and loyalty.
  • Closely monitoring team’s activities, maintaining a strong pulse on key performance metrics, sales routines, upskilling and digital and process adoption to drive favourable outcomes
  • Build a highly engaged and empowered team through a culture that is employee and client-centric, inclusive and outcome-driven
  • Responsible for executing against business goals and objectives
  • Responsible for recruiting, optimizing and developing talent
  • Accountable of collaborating with leadership and internal partners to achieve overall business objectives
