The Automotive Sales Lot Attendant is responsible for transporting customers, and cleaning the interior and exterior of customer and inventory vehicles. This role requires physical capability to maneuver around, under, and inside vehicles to ensure thorough detailing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers
Responsibilities
- Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
- Building and grounds maintenance as needed
- Service and Sales Department duties
- Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department
- Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
- Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately
- Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
- Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
- Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e. snow removal)
- Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
- Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes
- Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
- Lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc)
