About The Position

Blenders Eyewear is seeking a Sales Lead, also known as a Shade Captain, to join their team in Pacific Beach. This role serves as a role model for sales specialists, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and creating an unforgettable brand experience. The Sales Lead will actively train and coach the team on customer engagement, sales techniques, and product knowledge, contributing to the overall success and customer experience within the retail store. This position is a full-time role reporting directly to the Retail Store Manager.

Requirements

1+ years of retail sales leadership experience.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service to team members and customers.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and enjoys problem-solving.
Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
Ability to work flexible hours Monday through Sunday (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM).

Responsibilities

Support in new hire training, focusing on product knowledge and selling and service tools and techniques.
Provide training, in-the-moment coaching, and feedback to encourage team growth.
Continuously evolve and elevate the in-store customer experience in partnership with store leadership and brand partners.
Support with additional projects that build the employee experience.
Ensure the team is up to date on all training and service guidelines.
Positively communicate store and company policies and strategies.
Update the team on sales, KPIs, targets, and the status of goals on a regular basis.
Partner with Assistant Store Manager (ASM) and Store Manager (SM) to ensure smooth store operations and alignment towards common goals.
Interact with customers on the retail floor, providing product knowledge and exceptional customer experience.
Open and close the store as required and provide leadership to the team.
