Sales Lead, Westfield Old Orchard Mall
About The Position
As a Sales Lead at Soma, you partner with store leaders to supervise the team, lead by example, and support leadership responsibilities as needed. You help uphold brand standards, foster a positive team culture, and provide clear direction and support toward team goals. You model a welcoming, customer-centered environment focused on memorable, personalized experiences and hospitality. The role assists with store operations and leadership activities, shares brand priorities with the team, and supports sales-floor execution using product knowledge and an omni-channel approach. It also includes coaching associates, executing operational tasks, and contributing ideas and teamwork. This is a regular, part-time position at the Westfield Old Orchard Soma store in Skokie, Illinois. The pay range is $16.00–$20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
- Team-player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; operate the register; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

- Two years of retail management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
- Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and using an omni-channel approach.
- Coach and encourage the team to stay on track with performance goals.
- Execute operations activities, including cash handling, scheduling, inventory management, and merchandise replenishment.
- Stay knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Support associate development, provide coaching feedback, and assist with scheduling as needed.
- Share ideas and insights with the store leadership team.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork with peers and leaders.
