About The Position

As a Sales Lead at Soma, you partner with store leaders to supervise the team, lead by example, and step in to support leadership responsibilities as needed. You help uphold brand standards, shape a positive team culture, and provide clear direction and support toward team goals. You model a welcoming, customer-centered environment and create personalized experiences that reflect Soma’s culture of hospitality.

This role supports store operations and the sales team, including opening and closing, sharing brand priorities and product knowledge, coaching associates, and executing operational activities. The position is part-time at the Roseville, California store. The listed pay range is $17.90–$22.35 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Team-player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; operate the register; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

• Two years of retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Lead by example on the sales floor by sharing product knowledge and using an omni-channel approach.
• Coach and encourage the team to stay on track with performance goals.
• Execute operational activities, including cash handling, scheduling, inventory management, and merchandise replenishment.
• Stay knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Support associate development, provide coaching feedback, and assist with scheduling when needed.
• Share ideas and insights with the store leadership team.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork with peers and leaders.
