About The Position

The Part Time Sales Lead supports store operations and sales at Five Below, helping create a fun, customer-focused experience. The role oversees associate activities, trains and supports crew members, assists with merchandise receiving and organization, and helps drive sales while controlling expenses. The Sales Lead may serve as Manager on Duty and may be responsible for opening or closing the store. The position also includes store maintenance and other duties assigned by the Store Manager according to business needs.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 1 year of management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Creative thinking.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
At least 18 years old and able to perform essential job functions in compliance with applicable laws.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel as required.
Ability to frequently operate a cash register.
Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet.
Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Ability to frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop.
Ability to frequently move across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room.
Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Ability to identify and understand email and printed instructions about merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

Ensure crew members provide customer-focused service and train them on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience.
Help oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure effective performance and excellent customer service.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for the sales floor.
Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
Manage store opening or closing, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing for daily operations.
Support associate onboarding and ongoing training in store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
Perform store maintenance, including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.
Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Store Manager according to store needs.
