About The Position

The Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning (SIOP) Specialist is responsible for developing, organizing, and maintaining production schedules for all customer orders while ensuring required materials are available to meet promised delivery dates. This role works closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Sales to maintain an efficient workflow, identify production constraints, improve on-time delivery (OTD), and support continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Production Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Sales preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Contract Review experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using ERP systems, Power BI, and QuickBooks preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production and shipment schedules while prioritizing customer orders to maximize production efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies to establish labor standards and production rates.
  • Analyze production capacity and identify scheduling constraints or bottlenecks.
  • Improve production throughput and support initiatives to increase on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure timely flow of materials, documentation, and production schedules.
  • Collaborate daily with internal stakeholders to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Monitor work progress, inventory levels, and completion dates to ensure production schedules remain on track.
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, terms and conditions, and job requirements for accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Perform contract reviews for all new and revised sales order packages and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Enter applicable sales order information into ERP systems and supporting spreadsheets while identifying opportunities to streamline the process.
  • Review material availability to support production schedules and communicate shortages to Supply Chain as needed.
  • Generate production job routers for manufacturing orders.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure orders are completed and shipped on time; communicate schedule changes to Sales when necessary.
  • Adjust production schedules based on customer requirements, labor availability, material shortages, or production priorities.
  • Partner with the Sales team to establish lead times for RFQs, AOG requests, expedited orders, push-outs, and other customer scheduling requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and production processes.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
