About The Position

The Sales Internship is a full-time, on-site summer 2027 internship at Welch Fluorocarbon, a UFP Technologies company, in Dover, New Hampshire. Interns support sales strategy, market analysis, and customer enablement initiatives in a regulated, highly technical industry. The program runs from mid to late May through mid to late August 2027, with a 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule. No housing or transportation is provided; local candidates within 45 minutes are preferred. Interns work with a dedicated mentor and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams. They develop research, analysis, and insight-generation skills, communicate findings and recommendations to business stakeholders, and prepare and deliver a final presentation to Sales and Business leadership. Project assignments are based on business priorities, skills, and interests, and focus on either customer service enablement or market research and sales strategy support. The customer service enablement focus supports development of an internal Gemini-powered chatbot to help Customer Service Representatives answer common technical questions from prospective customers. Work may involve organizing technical and product information, supporting internal Sales and Customer Service tools, reviewing historical customer and sales data, translating technical concepts into customer-friendly language, and collaborating across teams. The market research and sales strategy focus supports strategic sales planning in the medical device industry, including implantable medical device applications. Work may involve researching market size, customer segments, applications, and competitors; gathering data from public sources; analyzing trends, pricing, and growth opportunities; and summarizing findings in reports and presentations with actionable insights. Welch Fluorocarbon has specialized in thermoformed and heat-sealed products since 1985, serving a variety of customers with thin, high-performance films. The company describes its culture as a team environment that values clear purpose, community, individual creativity, and balance, and states that it provides a competitive benefits package.
