Learn the SDI Steel process from raw material to finished products, how our different divisions operate and contribute to overall success. Travel to multiple locations and get a full picture of our national footprint and customer base. Explore the various grades of steel and understand how they impact performance, pricing, and customer needs. Engage in sourcing and relationship-building with brokers, suppliers, and industrial partners. Build meaningful connections with our acquisition, operations, and production teams to understand the full sales cycle. Participate in quality control and inventory management activities. Work with the finishing mill and shipping departments to understand logistics. Take part in both real-world and simulated sales experiences.

Requirements

• Candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a marketing related major
• Must have completed at least their freshman year
• Must be highly organized and have a strong ability to multitask
• Priorities frequently change, requiring great flexibility
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
• Ability to concisely document sales programs, findings and recommendations
• Strong analytical and issue identification, prioritization and resolution skills
• Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to act objectively and within the strictest environment of confidentiality
• Must be highly proficient with PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Preferred GPA of at least 2.7

Responsibilities

• B2B prospecting using SalesForce database
• Identify trade organization events
• Assist with events and promotions (summer – travel)
• Distribute marketing reports
• Assist in special projects
