About The Position

This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $20/hr, lasting from May 2027 to August 2027. The intern will be based in our Alma, MI office and will have the opportunity to contribute to the local community while being an integral part of the organization. GreenStone Farm Credit Services is a $16 billion financial services institution with over 600 employees in 35 locations throughout Michigan and northeast Wisconsin. GreenStone provides short term and long-term credit to our customers, as well as a variety of other products and services, such as crop insurance, life and disability insurance, accounting services, tax planning and preparation, and appraisals. We are looking for a Sales Intern in our Alma, MI. This internship will provide support across both our Country Living and Traditional lines of business. This role is designed to give meaningful assistance to our loan officers while also creating a valuable development opportunity.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
Sophomore Status or above
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office products
Must have a 3.00 GPA or higher

Responsibilities

Assist with special projects that streamline sales processes and support loan officers with day-to-day operational needs.
Travel to branch locations to meet with loan officers, gather feedback, and document opportunities for process and system improvements.
Conduct research and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities of tools and processes used by loan officers.
Support the planning, organization, and facilitation of cross-functional meetings to evaluate proposed enhancements and build stakeholder alignment.
Attend community events to build relationships with customers and promote GreenStone products and services.
