About The Position
Holmes Murphy is offering a 10-week Sales Internship program for Summer 2027 at their St. Louis Park, MN location. This immersive, hands-on program is designed to provide interns with invaluable insights into the insurance industry, allowing them to explore their talents and interests. Interns will learn about the intricacies of the insurance industry through educational workshops, discover various career paths within Holmes Murphy by rotating through different lines of business, hone communication skills through presentations, and network with industry experts and leaders for mentorship. The program also includes attending community activities to foster a connection with the company's vibrant culture.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4-year institution.
- Examples of prior majors’ interns have pursued: Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, and more.
- Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Assisting in building relationships with prospective clients
- Collaborating across departments to deliver value-driven proposals
- Supporting full-time sales team members in contributing to company profitability
- Attending sales meetings
- Attending community activities & association meetings to promote Holmes Murphy
- Preparing and delivering proactive sales presentations to leaders and mentors
- Additional duties as assigned
