About The Position
Holmes Murphy is offering a 10-week Sales Internship program in Omaha, NE for the Summer of 2027. This immersive, hands-on program provides invaluable insights into the insurance industry, allowing interns to explore their talents and interests. Interns will learn about the insurance industry through educational workshops, discover various career paths by rotating through different lines of business, hone communication skills through presentations, and network with industry experts and leaders. The program also includes participation in community activities to foster a connection with the company's vibrant culture.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4-year institution.
- Examples of prior majors’ interns have pursued: Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, and more.
- Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Assisting in building relationships with prospective clients
- Collaborating across departments to deliver value-driven proposals
- Supporting full-time sales team members in contributing to company profitability
- Attending sales meetings
- Attending community activities & association meetings to promote Holmes Murphy
- Preparing and delivering proactive sales presentations to leaders and mentors
- Additional duties as assigned
